Compact High Efficiency PA's for Massive MiMo

Micro Mobio Corporation, a global leader in designs, development and supply of a broad range of RF MMIC’s solutions, introduced a family of high linearity high efficiency SuperCruise® specially designed for small cell 5G solutions. The combination of ultra wideband, efficiency and linearity in compact packages, makes MMPA550 H-Series and MMPA570 H-Series (Fig. 1) ideal for advanced small cell solutions. Powered by the latest generation of SuperCruise® Technology, these modules offers network providers a cost-effective RF front-end solution that make massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) possible on a small footprint.

Outdoor and indoor wireless communications data is increasing at an incredible pace. The network cells must support growing number of users and ever-increasing demand for high-speed applications. In order to meet customer demand for coverage and speed, operators are optimizing throughput, bandwidth and spectral efficiency using multiple antennas solutions such as massive-MIMO. Due to increase number of RF front-end components, energy efficiency is an important aspect to be considered by the Radio-Access-Network (RAN) designer. MMPA550 H-Series and MMPA570 H-Series are used by the leading network providers to handle 200MHz signal bandwith and meet extreme -45dBc ACLR1 requirements at high output level, which are needed to deliver flawless 5G user experience. These modules not only extend RAN operating range, but providing industry leading efficiency.
MMPA550 H-Series and MMPA570 H-Series incorporate patented SuperCruise® Technology, ultra-efficient PA, impedance matching networks, bias controllers, and power sensors to further simplify the design and speed up time-to-market. The advanced bias control and compensation circuitry ensures stable performance over a wide operating range. Low power consumption gives these modules versatility across different platforms, ranging from user equipment to infrastructure, making them ideal range extenders for down-link (DL) applications.
